21KM — Half Marathon Trail Challenge
Designed for seasoned trail runners, the signature 21KM course takes participants through the foothill trails of Mount Santubong and toward the iconic Wallace Centre at Kampung Santubong. Run in the footsteps of history where famed British naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace conducted groundbreaking research and formulated the theory of evolution by natural selection.
10KM — Mid-Distance Trail Run
A perfect balance of challenge and scenery, weaving through lush rainforest canopies and dynamic natural terrain.
5KM — Fun Hike / Nature Walk
An accessible route crafted for beginners, families, and casual runners looking to immerse themselves in Santubong's pristine environment.

Anyone aged 12 and above. The 21KM and 10KM routes are for trail enthusiasts and seasoned runners (18+). The 5KM is ideal for beginners and active families. Participants under 18 require parental/guardian consent.
Official event running tee, finisher medal (for official finishers within cut-off), race bib, personal accident insurance, on-course medical support, trail hydration, and entrance permit to Santubong National Park. Finisher tee is for 21KM finishers only.
Both the start and finish lines are at Santubong National Park HQ.
To minimise single-use waste, bring your own reusable cup, soft flask, or hydration system. Paper cups will still be provided at water stations — dispose of them only in designated bin zones.
Yes. 5KM flags off at 7:00AM (4 hours, 11:00AM). 10KM flags off at 6:30AM (5 hours, 11:30AM). 21KM flags off at 6:00AM (7.5 hours, 1:30PM). Checkpoint cut-offs will be published in the Official Race Guide.
The race proceeds in rainy conditions. If severe weather poses safety risks (for example heavy lightning), start times may be delayed or routes modified.
Yes, if personal and emergency details are accurate. Proxy race-kit collection requires a copy of the participant's photo ID and confirmation slip.
No. Pets are strictly prohibited inside Santubong National Park and on the race course.
